Steve was born in Epsom, Surrey in 1965 and now lives in Hertfordshire with his partner Bally. He helps to raise a son, a daughter and 2 step-sons who all combine to keep him up to date on what’s cool and what’s not. With jobs ranging from a cinema usher in a Los Angeles movie-house to Commercial Director of a Telecomms company, there isn’t too much that he hasn’t seen in his working life. After gaining an Honours degree in Business Studies in 1987, Steve has spent most of his career leading teams to successful outcomes and has been instrumental in driving Continuous Improvement and Consultative Selling programmes wherever he has worked. In an effort to finally prove that plain English can actually be spoken at work without damaging a career, Steve has gone on to study NLP and has become both an accredited Practitioner and Master Practitioner.
Steve is currently undertaking the European NLP Coaching Certification Programme which has the rare privilege of ICF Accreditation. When people seek out a coach, they want the best. ICF accreditation is an internationally recognised stamp of coaching excellence. Their coaches are the elite.
Steve has worked for Marconi negotiating the supply of satellite equipment and has sold more than 7 million telephones to BT whilst working for Nortel Networks. He played a key role in attracting 11 million customers to the Orange mobile network prior to its sale to France Telecom and presided over the sale of more than £500m of prepaid mobile phone top-ups whilst Commercial Director of the largest independent
business Service Provider in the UK. He has led direct salesforces at Vodafone and has served the nation’s dreams driving Camelot to revenues of over £5bn and 5 consecutive years of growth as well as the winning of the all-important 3rd Licence.
Steve is an avid West Ham United supporter and a fanatic of all things sport. He loves the cinema (a throw-back to his usher days?) as well as visits to the London theatre scene, particularly musicals. He is a keen amateur cook and enjoys nothing more than a night out at an outstanding restaurant. He has travelled quite extensively
over 4 continents (he has not yet made it to Antarctica or Oceania) with his favourite country being Italy where his love of food, culture, people and landscape combine to create dreams of a future life.
Steve is a natural coach. He understands more than most the pressures, demands and opportunities of a working life, particularly when coupled with the challenges and desires of personal motivations, aspirations and ambitions. He genuinely helps people; as a recent individual commented when faced with redundancy in the present economic climate:
“I am sure you are aware that it can be a difficult thing to deal with and the feelings of self-doubt and rejection can take hold very quickly. However you words were very supportive and well-timed and I have had time to reflect on them and take heart from the support and kind assessment of my strengths and abilities.
I would be lying if I said I was looking forward to the next few months, however I now look at the positive side of this process and the opportunities that it will present and this, in no small part, is due to yourself and our conversation.
Thanks once again.” |
